Most of our design work is done to create garment functionality , to create garments designed for varying activities , offering the best fit , comfort and performance . That said , we never deny that we strive to provide some eye candy – by maintaining a high level of design via beautiful shapes , properly adapted color palettes , and aesthetically pleasing products .
Issues that our design department deals with daily include : Seam location and strength ( very crucial ). Leg , sleeve , and sock shaft lengths . Cuff widths . Heel flap lengths . And thickness of the needles to get exactly the right airy feeling in our knitted items . We have 175 years of combined experience and knowledge regarding how to dress properly – regardless of whether you ’ re in a work environment or in the woods , mountains , or track and field facilities .
