HOMETOWN : Virginia Beach , VA MAJOR : English EXPECTED GRADUATION : 2023
During my time at ODU , I have had incredible opportunities afforded to me due to my involvement on campus . I have been a student employee in the SET ( Student Engagement and Traditions ) office where I was able to see involvement efforts from the other side of things . As a first-generation student , getting the most out of my college experience is something very important to me , and I can truly say that being involved has made a huge difference . This year is my third year working with incoming students on the orientation team . During my time at SET , I became very interested in and passionate about higher education . In March , I was able to attend the NODA ( National Orientation Directors Association ) regional conference in Maryland , where I met orientation leaders from all around the region and learned and shared ideas with them . Being involved at ODU has given me so many transferable skills and unforgettable memories .
