Derek Gluchacki was back on his winning ways, as he has been all season. However, this evening saw him with plenty of competition. The race had four leaders, with Gluchacki coming to the front on lap 24 then leading the final six circuits. He displaced Josh Parsons, who had taken the lead from Casey Call. Call had taken over from initial leader Mason Levesque.

Gluchacki worked his way up from a ninth place start and was in fourth on lap ten. Five laps later, he was edged back a spot by Trenton Goodrow and fell off to sixth before recovering and working his way up. He slid Call out of second onto Parsons’ bumper on lap 22 then took over at the front a lap later. Call came up to take second and challenged Gluchacki all the way to the penultimate lap, when Parsons won second back and they both pursued the leader to no avail.

Gluchacki had another trip to Victory Lane; Parsons took second, Call was third while Brendan Hamman and Reagan Parent rounded out the top five.

At the outset, Levesque pulled away from polesitter Mason Tessier and Hamman leapt past Parent and Tessier into second. Reagan ran second and Goodrow got by parsons into fourth. Three laps in, Call had come up from tenth to sixth and elevated past Tessier and Goodrow into fourth. Call wasn’t finished and edged past Parent and Avedisian in to second behind Levesque. Casey had the lead two laps later.

Hammann went to work on Levesque for second and captured the spoot on lap eight as Parsons pulled in behind Levesque, then had the position on lap 10. The field was unchanged for three laps, as Parsons worked on Hammann. He dropped under and they went door-to-door across the stripe into lap 13. Parsons claimed second and Hamman dropped in but now Gluchacki was fourth with Goodrow in tow.

Gluchacki conquered Hammann for thired, just before Parent spun on the backstretch and he and Adam Avedisian pitted for adjustments and returned.

On the restart, Call and Parsons took the front row and Call grabbed the lead. Hammann grabbed third back from Gluchacki and Goorow leapt in to make it three-wide for the position, but Jacob Burns took a spin in turn two, bringing another restart. The second try saw similar results with Call leading, followed by Parsons, Hamman and Gluchacki. Nick Lascuola was working under Gluchacki.

Parsons got past Call with seventeen laps remaining and Goodrow pulled into third, followed by Hammann, Lascuola and Gluchacki, who started looking under Nick for position.

Parsons had a two-car lead over Call on lap 18 as Burns again spun. Parsons and Call lined up with Goodrow and Lascuola in row two followed by Gluchacki and Jake Matheson. They ran wheel-to-wheel through turn four until Parsons took the lead entering the front stretch. Call tried to cross under but Parsons shut the door. Gluchacki was third, looking to move up as Parsons eked out a one-car lead with nine laps to go. But Lascuola and Hammann made contact while battling for position and Matheson made contact. Lascuola pitted for the evening.

Parsons and Call went at it again. Parsons kept the lead and Gluchacki was under Call for second. Parsons, trying to hold him off, slid uptrack and Gluchacki pounced under and into the lead. Parsons dropped in with Call on his bumper. Goodrow ran third, followed by Parent, Tessier and Levesque.

With two laps remaining, Parent spun out of the crowd in turn two. It took three tries to get the green-white-checker finale underway with a start caloled back and a turn three spin by Matheson. Finally, they were racing and Gluchacki had the lead with Parsons on his bumpoer under Call. Under the white flag and Parsons had second while call was third. They roared around to the checkers And Gluchacki took the win followed by Parsons and Call. Tessier had been under Goodrow, contesting for fourth, but they got together in turn four, sending Goodrow hard into the outside wall, nosefirst. He rebounded into the air with is undercarriage pointing toward the sky, then came down on his driver’s side just short of the starter’s tower.

Red flags came out and emergency crews righted the car and freed Trent from the vehicle. He was able to walk away from the car and was taken to the ambulance for observation. Race director Tim Bolducv reviewed the tapes of the accident and revealed that “It was a racing accident” as Tessier nhad come loose in the turn, overcorrected and sleweed into Goodrow, setting off the meeting with the wall.

Hammann and Parent rounded out the top five. Sixth went to Avedisian, followed by Matheson, RJ Marcotte, Levesque, Tessier and Goodrow.
