David Westgate worked his way through a tough field from his fifteenth place start and grabbed a lead he would not relinquish going into the fifteenth circuit of the 20-lap feature. He then had to hold off hard-charging Christine Cavallaro for the remaining distance, and succeeded. Cavallaro knocked down second, while Chris Pacheco, Henry Lavalle and Alexander Manuel rounded out the top five.

On the green, Christine Simpson pulled away while Joey Motta was unable to generate any speed and was forced out after two laps and a spin in turn four. Simpson had Cavallaro on the outside for the restart and they went wheel-to-wheel across the stripe. Simpson pulled the lead and Lavalle looked underneath but could not score. Cavallaro then dropped into second.

The lap two restart after Mota’s spin saw the two Christines matched at the front with Lavalle and Joey Wordell behind them. Westgate was outside Michael Glad in row six, now. Simpson nosed out but Cavallaro held on and dropped in after Simpson took the lead. Behind them, Jordan Lopes went outside Samantha Mattera and Arthur Meack for a three-wide, but was unable to make any distance.

By lap 4, Cavallaro had made her way under Simpson to challenge for the front. She succeeded and Lavalle drove under Simpson. Matthew Smith suffered a failure and ground to a halt high on the backstretch, necessitating another yellow. The Christines lined up again and Cavallaro went from the pole into the lead on a quick start. Lavalle this time succeeded in diving under into second and Wordell slid into third. Lap five saw Cavallaro leading Lavalle, Wordell, Glad and Tim Bolger, Jr. Behind them, Lopes was making another run at a three-wide, also involving Simpson and Tyler Almeida. Westgate then went high, seeking a way around Glad. They went side-by-side for fourth while Bolger and Lopes pursued.

Westgate was running hard and getting very wide through the turns, but he succeeded in moving up alongside Wordell. Westgate gaine third coming out of turn two and Wordell settled into fourth ahead of Glad. But debris in turn two called a halt to clear away.

Now Westgate was in the catbird’s seat, low in the second row behind Cavallaro, who had Lavalle on her outside. Wordell was alongside Westgate and Glad and Bolger made up row three.

Cavallaro again gained the lead. Lavalle stayed high and Westgate grabbed her bumper. She disentangled and moved away to a two-car lead as Westgate and Lavalle match-raced. Bolger, Mattera and Wordell followed with Chris Pacheco now running fast and wide behind them. Cavallaro now had a three-car lead and Westgate was eight lengths up on Lavalle.

Cavallaro gained a four-car gap before John Lineberger and Mattera made contact, sending Lineberger up to the turn three wall. Mattera Pitted for repairs and returned.

Cavallaro and Westgate went wheel-to-wheel and battled for a lap before Westgate grabbed the front, crossing the stripe. He dropped in and Cavallaro began to work his bumper. Lavalle tried to take advantage but Cavallaro was working Westgate high and low and he was unable to move up. The battle continued to the checkers, with Westgate taking down the win and Cavallaro second. Chris Pacheco came up to steal third from Lavalle, who was fourt and Alexander Manuel was fifth. Rounding out the top ten were: Glad, Bolger, Tyler Almeida, Jason Poitras and Wordell. Simpson and Mattera finished just outside the top ten.
