Buddhism
Can a greater understanding of happiness be reached through spiritual means?
From conducting research the pair found that in Buddhism, mindfulness and meditation are increasingly taught as ways of
coping with stressful situations.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thoughts. It is made up of our thoughts.
If one speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows one, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the
wagon.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thoughts. It is made up of our thoughts.
If one speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows one, like a shadow that never leaves.

Coincidentally, not far from Rhianne and Terri’s apartment in Birmingham, is the most exquisite Buddhist temple called
the Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda, which was opened in Birmingham UK in 1998 and is the only such building in
traditional Burmese style in the Western hemisphere. This seemed like a perfect idea, but upon contact with those in
charge of the temple, it became clear that they spoke in very broken English and it was very difficult for Terri to explain
the details about permissions and organising a one to one session, thus the idea was abandoned and the pair continued
their rigorous brainstorming session.
