Dirk and Buddy were an astonishing duo. Together they had
achieved so much that had helped their community in many ways
and this really warmed the hearts of Terri and Rhianne.
It was clear to the girls how much Dirk loved dogs and he talked
about the day he bought Buddy with such excitement. It was
impossible not to respect how much of a good person he is.
Dirk has especially dressed up Buddy in a very dashing yellow coat
for the occasion, which made them feel very special that he had
gone to such effort.
He was a very friendly dog, and the girls could see right away why he
was so good at bringing smiles to the faces of so many people, who
were letting him sneakily nibble at their biscuits that were served
with afternoon tea.
It was a very sobering experience for both Rhianne and Terri to see
how lifeless and uninspiring it can be for those living in care homes,
and it really put things into perspective for them.
Dirk spends so much of his spare time going to visit people to add a
slither of light into their lives, and the girls agree that he deserves all
the happiness in the world for everything he does.
It seemed that a dog really is man’s best friend.
