Klaus was the first person Terri and Rhianne met on their journey towards explaining how we
seek happiness.
Terri had taken a long shower in the impressive en-suite bathroom in the hotel room. She sat
on her bed with her hair in a makeshift towel turban, flicking through her iPad for people the
pair could go and see, when she stumbled across a website for a man that specialised in
English-speaking life coaching sessions. The girls mutually decided that he would be a perfect
contributor to the documentary. Terri immediately made a call to said life coach, who agreed
that we could go over a few questions on the subject of happiness with him.
And with that, the girls threw on some clothes and a bit of make-up, grabbed the equipment
and made their way across the city to see Klaus Kampmann.
This meant catching three different tubes, and walking in the wrong direction for a
considerable amount of time, but they made it, eventually.
Walking up to the house, the girls were met by huge iron gates with an intercom. Out
stepped Klaus to let them enter, he seemed very confused, not only did he think the girls
were asking him questions for an English magazine, but he thought it would be purely over
the phone, and here we were in person, with lots of filming equipment and an equally
confused look on our faces.
Nevertheless, he invited us inside to his amazing home, which gave Grand Designs a run for
their money. He offered us fruit and water, which we accepted with gratitude after the
swelteringly hot journey, and set up while he had a quick clothes change and a shave.
Klaus was very helpful to the girls and gave a great insight into happiness, which really
inspired the girls, especially Rhianne who was nodding so much during the interview; her
head almost fell off her shoulders!
