Being a curvy avatar can require creativity and a skill in editing, and but, of course, trying a lot of demos. To my delight recently, there has been an increase in perfectly-rigged and stylized clothing( and accessories) that are catered for bustier ladies and more muscular gentlemen. This is a revolution in fashion for Second Life. Men and women of all shapes and sizes can enjoy the same fashion – Finally! I applaud all the amazing creators and talented people for making this possible.
I also hope that mesh body creators would make their builder kits readily available for all up and coming creative talents. This will further improve, as well as expand the fashion revolution that’ s happening in Second Life fashion now. A good example is Maitreya’ s recent release of its builder kits in Second Life— I can’ t wait to see what creators are going to do with them!
MY LOOK, MY STYLE
I have quite a few favorites( creators) from whom I buy and almost regularly— if I may add. I won’ t be surprised if I own everything they make.
Vale Koer … Is absolutely my favorite creator for shoes. They also produce amazing original clothing and accessories, preferring sneakers, boots, and flat-form casual footwear to heels. Everything they produce is original and perfectly rigged, textured with expertise and totally badass. It is simply worth every cent as they are my most regularly used footwear in Second Life. You will not be disappointed.
Flite … Comes in a close second, especially for their casual wear: The Joggers and accessories. I really, really just love my kicks though.
Addams … Is a really great store— they include a customizing HUD, which are not as extensive as fat packs, but heck! It’ s just pretty damn sweet to have the ability to personalize a single item purchase.
Tetra … This has recently become a favorite of mine. The cotton and wool textures rendered are perfect. Not to mention, their bras and undies are so perfectly rigged— I can wear them underneath a lot of clothing without having them“ poke through” over a separate layer of mesh! This is an amazing thing for anyone who likes to mix and match / layer everything.
OTHER NAMES TO WATCH OUT FOR …
SYS, E-clipes / ED and Tres Blah … I do blog for E-clipes / ED. But, I would never blog something I wouldn’ t actually buy. Ever. I really appreciate the styling they both put into their work with denims, cottons and layering.
I live for accessories! They make an outfit come to life. Plus, being busty, they are easier for me to fit into but not with necklaces— sometimes( laughs). Face it: Necklaces in SL are not large breasts-friendly— yet!
Bamse … Best for inexpensive badass gear, such as gucns, gasmasks, jet packs. Anyone that follows me on my Flickr will know I like guns— a lot... And tend to use them as accessories in my photos.
Remarkable Oblivion … This is another creator I favor. I love the rusty-old / beat-up steam-punk style they use for many of their items. In fact, remarkable is a word I’ d would use to describe them too! Each piece is a work of art in itself.
NIK( Nikotin)… Is a really obvious choice as they are the markers of the trademark cigar in just about every picture I do. You can completely customize your cigars and cigarettes exactly the way you’ d like them, which I love!
Tableau Vivant … Keeps my brain warm and is one of my go-to hairstyles of late. It’ s big and vivacious and have beautiful colors and highlight options.
EMO-tions … Makes amazing hair, too. I’ m very attracted to big voluminous hairdos and they do them really well.
On tattoos … They are my second skin and I have tried something from pretty much every creator. The four I use the most are: Prodigy Ink( I blog for them now but purchased on my own initially); Bolson, Speakeasy and other more unknown and under the
