EVENTS
We put great care into every project we embark
on in SL, from creating a single product item
to putting together an entire concept sim. The
Forest is a new event concept, which we think is
further enhanced by the environment it has been
set in. We want to immerse our customers into
a unique shopping experience whereby trekking
into the woods will lead them to finding beautiful
items, which they can grab “for free” along the
way. It is also how we imagined the idea exploring dirt paths and getting lost in an environment
where birds are singing and sunlight radiates on
the tree leaves. In short, we wanted to offer a new,
sensitive shopping experience.
Was it difficult in putting together this holistic
shopping experience — decorating-wise?
This is not the first time we’ve had a sim like
this… This is the third time we’ve created a sim
made for community living, music etc… We
wanted to revive these times, which reminded us
of our old SL days when we were less busy and
more connected with one another. Since acquiring this new sim we’ve organized many
get-togethers and concerts, as well as a really
successful and fun hunt a few months ago. In
terms of building the sim, we completed it in 1
week — non-stop building. Outr way to make
sims is to simply just do them! We never have a
plan. It’s more about playing some inspiring music and then start building!
Spell is your new label that’s also exclusively
available at The Forest. Tell us more about it…
(Laughs) Yes, Spell is a really new brand, less
than 6 months old. I love Spell and I don’t find
myself “working” when I’m creating the Spell
items. I totally do it for fun! I started this brand
with a friend, Obe, the owner of Thunk! I’ve
known him since Pupito and I started in SL. Like
us, Obe is a musician too, and he used use to jam
with Pupito in dual-streaming mode. I work on
Spell with him (he models and I texture), while
Pupito also shares a brand with him called Persona. It is very new, too, and it is a really crazy store
with some cute, funny avatars!
