Amsterdam is one of the premiere destinations in Second Life. This island in is extreemly well put together in that it highly resembles the real life Amsterdam itself. From the classic coblestone walkways and bridges to the infamous district of sex buisiness, Amsterdam in SL has outdone itself in recreating a classic destination for tourists around the world.

For first time visitors, we reccomend that you seek out the train station as a first stop upon arriving. There you will find informational material about the area along with freebies like bicycles. The free bikes are really cool, and riding around the Dutch capital of the Netherlands is a fun activity to begin one's adventures and explorations.

Now lets reimind visitors that the dstination of Amsterdam Island is rated M for mature audiences. This is because of the high amounts of sexual material and matter that is present, particularly in the red light district and in the myriad of stores and shops. That said, Amsterdam could fall into the category of a "shopper's paradice" due to the fact that there is a seemingly endless amount of stores and shops everywhere one looks!

Do not be too frightend if random streetwalkers approch you and make sexual ofers when you are standing still for a moment to look at the beautiful architechture that Amsterdam boasts. This is normal and you can kindly decline, accept if you please, or even just run away like I did.

Athought it may not be an ideal family destination, Amsterdam is one of the finest chioces for a travel destination in SL. There are countless nightclubs, tours, entertainment such as movies and live music, shopping, and even a bit of fishing activities, I won a gold trophy during my trip in a fishing tounament. So what are you waiting for, make Amsterdam your next travel stop in SL!
