" Coastal and territorial sea infrastructure ' s security "
The security of marine installations , mainly energy installations , is today a field of increased importance . The territorial zone is considered territory of the state and the coastal state exercises full sovereignty over it . Consequently any threat to an infrastructure located in that area is dealt with in the same way threats on the territory of a state . For the wider maritime area of Greece , it is clear that the biggest threat is ( excluding physical disasters ) the revisionist Turkey . It is therefor an immediate priority to develop security systems around our future marine constructions , such as possible hydrocarbon extraction platforms , wind turbine systems being prepared in the new marine parks , especially in the Aegean , as well as the floating LNG regasification facilities that are progressively being developed .
