Antonios Peppas studied civil hydro-engineering at NTUA , as well as hydrology and environmental management at Imperial College London . He is the CEO of ETME S . A ., an engineering company established in ‘ 70s and specialised in environmental and energy infrastructure projects and innovations . The last 15 years he has been an entrepreneur in the RES domain , and specifically in PVs , Biodiesel and floating offshore wind . In 2012 he invented FloatMast ®, a floating met mast platform . ETME S . A . engages also in activities in the maritime surveillance domain for Defence and Security applications .

Offshore waterspace holds significant importance within the EU borders . The ever-evolving geopolitical , climate and energy scene dictates the need for elevated coastal and offshore protection . Subsequently , the concept of a system of systems was born and based on that concept , ETME brought to life its dual-use technology . The dual-use TLP platform is a novel asset that can be used for defence and civilian purposes . It could be developed as a floating met mast , deployed with a focus to complete offshore wind and other environmental measurements , but also as a floating platform dedicated to defence activities . In both cases , it guarantees permanent , pervasive and persistent monitoring of offshore waterspace .
