Salvage of ‘Costa Concordia’
will now proceed at full speed
The cruise ship Costa Concordia ran aground and was capsized in January
2012 in northwestern Italy, near the island of Giglio.
In April 2012, the American company Titan Salvage and the Italian marine
contractor Micoperi signed the contract for wreck removal with the ship’s
owners. The salvage work is expected to take approximately one year.
