Curbing ship emissions is rising on the agenda all over the
world. At present, ships are responsible for 2.7% of global
warming emissions. International Maritime Organisation
(IMO) estimates that these emissions could increase by as
much as 150-250% by the year 2050 – if the international
seaborne trade continues to show robust growth.
