RCCL’S NEXT GEN CRUISER

IN THE INDUSTRY
After launching the Oasis-class twins
Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas,
Royal Caribbean Cruises decided to take it
down a notch – at least size-wise, that is.
Also Finnish marine expertise gave way
to German craftsmanship as the shipyard
changed from Turku, Finland, to Papenburg,
Germany. Meyer Werft, also a long-time
partner for RCCL, was chosen to deliver
“Project Sunshine,” a completely new vessel
design incorporating a plethora of new and
exciting features.
