private companies, and only few
at the VTT Technical Research Centre of
Finland and Helsinki University of Technology,” said Teppo Virta, the manager of the
technology programme at the end of 2004.
“The total budget of these development
projects is EUR 26 million, including EUR
12 million in public support. The companies have committed to investing 14 million in the programme, which is a remarkable signal of their R & D enthusiasm. The
