Big TAP features brews under the big tent, Author, humorist, and host of Tent Show Radio, Michael Perry, delivers his hilarious, local cuisine on the“ Fatty 5K” trek, a commemorative tasting glass, live music, wagon winding tales of rural Wisconsin life. Also joining in the festivities are The Quebe Sisters rides, hammerschalagan and more. from Fort Worth, Texas. Touring in support of their latest album, Every Which-A-Way, some of their performance highlights include appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, the Kennedy Center, and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Cloud Cult, originally from Duluth, is an experimental chamber rock band that has sold more than 100,000 albums via their own label, Earthology Records. Started by Craig Minowa, the band is known for its commitment to the environment and for its philosophical lyrics centered on big-picture spirituality. Their live shows feature two on-stage painters who create artwork during the concert, as well as a full band complete with violin, cello, trumpet, trombone and French horn. Stevens Point band Horseshoes & Hand Grenades has a lively, celebratory sound strongly rooted in bluegrass, old-time and folk music. This is our festival-style closing night of the season where all the seats are taken out of the tent.

Spend an autumn afternoon enjoying unlimited samples of local, regional, and craft brews from more than 30 breweries, wineries and distilleries beneath the Big Top tent. The stage will be featuring live music from Crescent Moon and Hoff Stevens. Take a break for the“ Fatty 5K” gourmet tasting adventure featuring area restaurants, producers, and caterers. Participants can hike or take a leisurely wagon ride, winding up and around Nordic and alpine ski trails, before crossing the ridge of Mt. Ashwabay. The vista offers outstanding views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, with the Big Top tent in the foreground.
This wildly popular event is a benefit for Big Top Chautauqua and the Ashwabay Outdoor Educational Foundation. No reservations needed for this route.
