THE MAVERICKS Thu. JUL 23, 7:30PM
The Mavericks are back – touring in support of their newest album“ MONO,” their second after a decade-long musical hiatus. The country-steeped garage band that emerged from Miami in 1989 has reunited and is embarking on a major world tour. Two decades have passed since their polyrhythmic brand of post-modern country gave the world“ All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down,”“ Here Comes The Rain” and“ Dance The Night Away.” The band, led by the Cuban-born singer Raul Malo, has a vintage sound with a genre-defying Tejano / Country / Roy Orbison vibe that creates an infectious energy in their celebrated live performances.
