JUNIOR GYMNASTICS
COMPETITION RULES
WAG (Women's Artistic Gymnastics) – ALP Levels 3 & 4
Appeals:
Any appeal must be made during that rotation to the tournament director (not to judges directly).
Tie Break:
Team - There will be a clear 1, 2, 3 that can be presented. If tied, the system will take the highest event score from each athlete and rank them based on that score. If a tie still exists this process continues to the next highest event score for each athlete until the tie is broken, unless their is no fair way of separating the results.
Individual - Allow Ties, Sparse Rank should be selected.
Vault rules: Use highest attempt score for All-Around. Use highest attempt score for Apparatus finals.
The above means that individuals are permitted to tie in a certain position. If 2 athletes are tied on the same points, they share that position. If this was tied in 1st place, the medals would go as follows 1st = 1st, 3rd. This means there must be a contingency plan for additional medals.
Music:
Music is compulsory for WAG Levels 3 & 4 on the floor routines, since they are compulsory routines we are following strictly what's in the ALP manual. All skills, dance and choreography must be the same according to the choreography section written on the manual. The official videos are good references.
