SEASAC Handbook - Junior Gymnastics Championships 2018
General:
SEASAC gymnastics events will be run according to the rules and skills in the Australian National WAG Levels Program 1.0 - 2014 & (Summary of WAG skill content and routine requirements doc)
Event Format:
Day 1: WAG L3-4 - Team Competition and Individual All Round Competition
Day 2: WAG L3-4 - Apparatus Final Competition
Team:
A team must consist of a minimum of three and no more than six gymnasts. Gymnasts can be entered as individuals if there are not enough gymnasts to form a team. The team score is calculated by adding up the top three scores on each apparatus.
Each school can send a maximum of 1 team.
Levels by age group (Cut-off date is August 1st, 2017) are:
Level 3 Junior: 8 & under
Level 3 Senior: 9 & over
Level 4 Junior: 9 & under
Level 4 Senior: 10 & over
Scoring:
No D score (Start value 10.00 if all required skills are performed)
E score is marked out of 10.00 points (if all required skills are performed)
There are no bonus skills in WAG L3 & 4
Final score is the E score: Judges apply execution deductions as per FIG General Table of Faults:
E (Execution) score: Total E deductions / 2
Start value – (E score/2) = Final score
