Jubing Kristianto

Jubing Kristianto studied the
classical guitar seriously with
Suhartono Lukito and Arthur
Sahelangi at Yamaha Music
School in Semarang and
Jakarta, Indonesia. His formal
education was in Criminology
from Universitas Indonesia.
He decided to be a guitarist in
2003 after working as a journalist for 13 years. Since then, he
has been working together with the prominent
musicians/vocalists in various genres --both in recording and
live performance. Jubing has released five solo guitar albums:
Becak Fantasy (2007), Hujan Fantasy (2008), Delman
Fantasy (2009), Kaki Langit (2009), and Pagi Putih (2015)
produced by IMC Record. His mostly plays a repertoire of solo
guitar music of his own arrangements and compositions using
of his favorite material: children’s songs, folksongs, and pop
songs. His performances and albums have received critical
acclaim from music-lovers and media in Indonesia. Rolling
Stone Indonesia magazine enlisted his Becak Fantasy as one
of "The Best 20 Indonesian Albums of 2008". Jubing has been
an artist-endorser for Yamaha Music Indonesia since 2009.
