Daniel Tjahja (Indonesia)
Born in Jakarta, 1966, studied
classical guitar in 1979 with Rene
Sahir
and
Reiner
Wildt.
Currently lives in Jakarta.
He started teaching classical
guitar when he was in 3rd grade
of junior high school. Since then,
he has been active performing as
a soloist and in a group (such as
‘Gitaris Kantoran’ guitar quartet).
Daniel won prizes in several guitar competitions, including 1st
prize Yamaha Festival Guitar Indonesia 1990, and 1st prize
Java-Bali Guitar Festival in 1998. He was a semifinalist 3 times
at Singapore International Guitar Competitions.
Now he is organizer of South East Asia Guitar Festival &
Performance Awards Indonesia 2019.
Dos Amigos
(Malaysia & Thailand)
Dos Amigos (two friends), formed
by classical guitarists Pongpat
Pongpradit and Chuah Yeong
Chin, is a collaboration between
two friends, working and playing
music together.
Dos Amigos Guitar Duo they have
appeared as guests of artists and
performed in Pattaya Guitar Festival (Thailand), Asia Guitar
Festival (Thailand), Cambodia Music Festival, Silpakorn
International Guitar Festival and Camp (Thailand), Alor
Setar Guitar festival (Malaysia), Pulau Tikus International
Guitar (Malaysia), Danang Guitar Festival (Vietnam) and
many more concerts in ASEAN region.
Dos Amigos are performing with guitars made by Kim Sang
Gil, a famous Korean luthier who actually inspired the name
of this duo.
