For over 15 years, I have been proud to share with you my detailed annual report on the State of the Real Estate Market in Sea Pines Plantation…
and I am especially excited about this year’s edition!
Over time, my annual report has come to you in various formats as my Group has aimed to stay current with what Sea Pines owners want to read and
learn. Often imitated by our competition (including those who rush to be the first, but fail to be the best), I have remained steadfast in my commitment to taking the time necessary to provide you with the highest quality report filled with the most relevant information and the most insightful
perspective/context possible. As such, I appreciate your interest in this report, and I hope you will find it both interesting and useful.
2013 proved to be another excellent year in the recovery of the Sea Pines marketplace. With 179 home sales, 135 villa sales and 13 lot sales, the
demand for property in Sea Pines is on the rise, which led to the lowest year-end inventory of homes for sale in Sea Pines that we have seen in nearly
a decade!
Meanwhile, the overall Hilton Head/Bluffton marketplace also showed a strong gain in the number of closed sales, generating across-the-board
increases in the average sales price of property sold in all 3 property categories: Homes, Villas, and Lots!
This growing demand for property in the Hilton Head area is being fueled by an increasingly global market, as Hilton Head’s favorable climate,
friendly community, abundance of outdoor recreational activities, and diverse business and cultural environments continue to attract buyers from all
over. In fact, CollinsGroupRealty.com attracted buyer prospects from 134 countries last year (and all 50 US states!), and we’ve sold listings to allcash buyers from as far away as South Africa.
As a 21-year resident of Sea Pines Plantation, I know first-hand the reasons that make this original development on Hilton Head Island so compelling
