The City of Laguna Niguel is hosting its annual Veterans Day Ceremony . Join us for a celebration to honor all those who have served to protect our liberty and defend our freedom . This beautiful ceremony will be held at Sea Country Senior and Community Center . Doors open at 10:30am , ceremony starts at 11am .
VETERANS SALUTE
The City honors the brave men and women who have made sacrifices to protect our country and would like to recognize them in the Veterans Salute Program . The city will recognize these individuals on the City ’ s website and social media pages . Please request and submit a completed application to

PROUD VETERANS LIVES HERE " YARD SIGN "
A wonderful way to celebrate the proud veteran that lives in your community . Please request a yard sign by emailing name , address , phone to
scscc @ cityoflagunaniguel . org . The Veteran must be a Laguna Niguel resident . There is no cost for the yard sign . You will receive an email to pick up your yard sign and display it proudly . Sign ups start November 1 . Deadline to submit an order is Wed , Nov 10th .

Drop by Sea Country Senior & Community Center to express your appreciation to those who have served in the military . This chalk wall will be stationed outside of Sea Country Senior Center starting Nov 1st . Please drop by the center to write a thankful message to our amazing veterans .

TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
Let calls from unrecognized numbers go to voicemail , and then listen to the voicemail . Do not call back any recorded messages , esp . those offering free trials or call back requests regarding a prize you have won . Avoid accepting insurance calls from scammers claiming to be with your mobile service carrier , or the company where you purchased your phone . These scammers will try to offer to sell you insurance , and you may never actually get the phone insurance . Always contact the trusted company directly to confirm the offer is valid . Do not call back unrecognized numbers , esp . if it rings only once . You run the risk of being charged connection fees if the call came from outside the USA . Some area codes that have been used in such scams are : 265 , 809 , 876 , 284 , and 473 . Use authorized mobile applications ( apps ) -download apps from an app store , rather than a website , and access your personal or banking information only from your bank ' s official app or website . Be familiar with your phone ' s security settings-knowing what your phone is capable of doing , and what security capabilities your phone already has in place can help secure your data and mobile device from intrusion .
