The school was finished in 26 days, with the main structure completed in just eight days, by a local construction team. Construction began with laying the foundations and concrete floor. When the foundation was complete, preparations started for the walls and roof installation, which involved cutting and laying out the metal supports (U-beams) for the first layer of blocks and assembling the roof frames. The walls were completed in three days, and then the roof frames and sheeting were constructed.

With the main structure now complete, work began on installing the internal ceilings, doors, and windows, as well as the tiling of the floors. The electrician installed the cabling, including lights and power points for the classrooms. Finally, wooden strips were lodged to frame the doors and windows, and the external walls were painted in UV-protective paint.

A new local building team built this Block School. This team trained to use Block technology as part of Classroom of Hope Indonesia 2022 Capacity Building Program early this year. While it was their first experience building a Block School, the outcome was successful. The team experienced no major challenges during the construction process. The school community supported the building team by providing them with cooking and sleeping facilities.
