INVOLUNTARY CONVULSION, is one of those bands that can transform the brutal death metal, in a twisted, confused chaos, full of dark dementia and that is the musical atmosphere that the band has, opaque lyricals, in Latin, besides the setting of NEW STANDARD ELITE Puts them in the list of the best bands of the world.
1 Tell us about "TEMPUS EDAX RERUMS" Tell us about the process of recording and mixing the MCD ?, What was it like working with GERARD PORQUERES and ADRIAN'S BEDROOM?
It was a long process, I had those songs written almost 5 years ago, I was 15 at the time, so i’m a little surprised i don’t cringe at the sight of that EP! Gerard was awesome to work with, i believe he gave us the perfect raw sound that we were going for. Adrian’s Bedroom? Well, that’s my bedroom so it was a breezy, painless process for sure haha!
2 How to make the composition in INVOLUNTARY CONVULSION ?, Why the subjects in Latin? And what are the lyrics of "TEMPUS EDAX RERUMS"?
The Latin use felt necessary considering the lyrical theme dating back a few centuries. Zach has always had a fascination with the language and wanted to incorporate it.

3 How was the band born? And why the name INVOLUNTARY CONVULSION?
The band started as a side project of another band which never left the ground actually, this was in early 2012. We thought ‘Involuntary Convulsion’ made sense and reflected the material we were writing well.
4 How are things NEW STANDARD ELITE with distribution? And how long to get the NEW STANDARD ELITE? And what are the expectations of the band for all the work?
Dan does an awesome job with New Standard Elite, full credit to the dude, working entirely on his own. He sends stuff all over the world to distributors that sell brutal cds and merch, cant complain really.
5 What is the meaning of the title "TEMPUS EDAX RERUMS"?
“Time devours all things”
6 Who are the main composers of INVOLUNTARY CONVULSION?
We all do our part that’s for sure. Adrian comes up with the full basis of a song using a drum machine and recording riffs along to it, tabs it out, then sends it to Mark which he then writes his own bass lines. Alex gets an idea of what the drums should sound like with the drum machine, and adds his own flare. Zach writes all of the lyrics.
7 Tell us about "DISAMBIGUATION", have you received the acceptance you expected?
We didn’t expect much. We’re happy with how it came out, and everyone seems to be enjoying it, so we’re stoked about all that!
8 What is the meaning of the "TEMPUS EDAX RERUMS" cover? And How is the idea of working with KIRILL SEMENOV born?
I came across some of Kirill’s previous works a few years ago and instantly fell in love with his art. We thought he’d be a great candidate for visually representing Involuntary Convulsion.
9 Tell us about "MARK CHANDLER", what can you tell us?
That he is an absolute legend of a person and a very talented bass player, in it for exactly the right reasons.
10 How are the concerts of INVOLUNTARY CONVULSION ?, any special trip and how is the scene of Melbourne, Victoria?
We haven’t played a show in a long time, due to our lineup constraints, Alex lives in New York and Mark lives in Ontario, so it has been more of a studio project for quite some time. The scene in Australia rules, plenty of good brutal bands around like Disentomb, Seminal Embalmment, Putrescent Seepage, Odiusembowel etc, dont even get me start on the grind too!
11 Future plans and final comment?
We are currently writing for our first debut album, we’ll hopefully see an early/mid 2018 release. We’d love to tour some time in the future too.

1 Háblanos de “TEMPUS EDAX RERUMS” ¿Cuéntanos sobre el proceso de grabación y mezcla del MCD?, ¿Cómo fue trabajar con GERARD PORQUERES y ADRIAN´S BEDROOM?
Fue un proceso largo, tuve esas canciones escritas hace casi 5 años, yo tenía 15 años en ese momento, así que estoy un poco sorprendido de que no me encogen al ver ese EP!GERARD era increíble trabajar con él, creo que nos dio el sonido crudo, perfecto que íbamos a trabajar. ¿El dormitorio de ADRIAN? Bueno, ese es mi dormitorio por lo que fue un proceso ventajoso, sin dolor, seguro, ja,ja,ja,ja.
