Let ' s start this interview the band featuring THE CASKET 1- His latest album is " RISE THE UNDEAD " made some months ago, what ' s new in the band?, and has received the response you expected?
Magoth: We ' re now in progress to making new upcoming album for next year. We need to rest for any live shows from now on because last month, Mr. Zomby had an accident and got broken his leg. Few upcoming shows have been cancelled now. So sorry ' bout that …
Mr. Zomby: I really sa sfy on response that we got since the launching of“ Rise The Undead”. I think some of you s ll buying the cd now and you should buy it especially for death metal worshipers!!!
2- How was the recording and mixing of " RISE THE UNDEAD "
Magoth: Well, I leave it to Zomby to answer it.
Mr. Zomby: I start with drum arrangement before I do the string part. For Rise The Undead, all drums part was done on drum programming by myself and the recording was track by track on Jenazath Home Studio( I owned this mini studio) except for vocals was recorded at different place at Chroma c Studio. The mixing process also at Jenazath Studio using Magix Music Maker app which I think s ll lot of weakness … But who cares, I love raw sound! Hahaha …
3- How did the composi on THE CASKET? And why these issues to the U N D E A D, A P O C A LY P S E, necromancy, DISEASE, INFECTION, ZOMBIES? Lyrical
Magoth: All composi on was done by Mr. Zomby musically … We using those issues since the debut“ Dead Is Alive” and s ll we ' re doing with The Casket for the upcoming album coz death metal is about most of those issues.
Mr. Zomby: I just do the musical part, I leave the lyrics to Magoth but I also love things like infec on, disease and zombies too just like what Magoth do.
4- Tell us how things were " DEAD IS ALIVE "?
Magoth:“ Dead Is Alive” is sold out already and never been re-press or re-release. It just our debut demo that Earblast Records have been produced that contain 4 tracks of old skull death metal madness. It ' s our first appearance as The Casket.
5- What are the things and distribu on?, EARBLAST RECORDS, tell us about? And how long it will take to get the contract EARBLAST RECORDS?
Magoth: Earblast Records was doing just fine for distribu on, I think both for our country Malaysia and Indonesia. We have been inform that 300 copies were been sent out and some of it also going out to Europe such Germany, France & Belgium. Maybe some will think it just a small quan ty but for us it is a huge step for The Casket since we ' re s ll new. Earblast Records s ll with interest for our upcoming second album that schedule be release by next year.
6- Who are the main songwriters THE CASKET?
Magoth: Mr. Zomby done all songwriters, I just do the lyrics and vocal pa ern only.
Mr. Zomby: I did all songwriter on The Casket, Magoth come out with his lyrics / vocal pa ern idea. And for the upcoming stuff, Magoth will be a part of it. Just wait and see …
7- What are the concerts " The Casket "?, a trip in space? And How is the music scene in your area?
Magoth: Since“ Rise The Undead” was launching, we just had only first show on Grundar Deathfest 3 th
on 7 March 2015 and the show was awesome I guess. Small stage but huge impact … Actually we th
will perform at Ipoh Grindfest 2 this 30 May 2015 but due Zomby got broken leg, we cancel all shows un l Zomby get ready for it. Music scene here is quite okay, more bands are going to do a records, gigs are o en now but government s ll bitching on Metal music here … it ' s totally sucks!
8- What kind of music and bands do you listen to?
Magoth: Death Metal is my fave music... Currently, I listening to Skeletal Remains, Grusome, Gravecrusher, Avulsed, Revol ng, Revel In Flesh & Deathevoker.
Mr. Zomby: From my side, I listening such progressive, technical and death metal with some thrash stuff like that … Nile, Necrophagist, Obscura, Blo ed Science, Cynic, Death, Malevolent C r e a o n s, K a t a k l y s m, V i t a l R e m a i n s, Deicide, Warbringer and Kreator is few I like.
9. Future plans and what final comment?
Magoth: Do lots of shows and making more albums in different format such casse e, 7” EP ' s or LP ' s. Most important part is making good albums and spreading the disease of The Casket.
Mr. Zomby: Record next upcoming project with new idea and using be er recording setup equipment to get more proper sound and of course our own iden ty … Last comment, thanx for the short interview here.
