Hit the north – NW Dive Fest is back
THE NW DIVE FEST RETURNS TO Capernwray, Lancashire on Friday 28 August, bringing together divers, clubs, instructors, and leading diving brands to celebrate everything that’ s great about the BSAC diving community.
Perfectly timed to kickstart the August bank holiday weekend, the one-day event offers a real family atmosphere where there’ s plenty to do for divers and non-divers alike.
What’ s on
Now in its fourth year, the Dive Fest is organised by the North West Regional Team.
Divers taking part can experience AP and Liberty rebreathers, discover sidemount diving or take an underwater scooter for a spin. Diving manufacturers and suppliers will be on site, giving divers the chance to see new equipment, ask questions and meet the people behind some of the biggest names in diving.
And, back by popular demand, there’ s the Gold Bar Treasure Hunt, with divers heading underwater in search of gold and some fantastic prizes. Meanwhile, new for 2026 is the Junior Treasure Hunt, a surfacebased adventure giving younger visitors the chance to join in the fun, hunt for treasure and win prizes of their own.
Add the photo competition, raffle, auction, music and the opportunity to catch up with divers from clubs across the North West and beyond, and it promises to be a fantastic day both above and below the water.
Get your NW Dive Fest pass
The Dive Fest is open to BSAC and other agency divers. Non-divers are very welcome too and entry for spectators is free.
North West Regional Coach Stephen Dorricott is now encouraging divers to book their NW Dive Fest ticket – and their place on any of the try dives – early to get their spot.“ We have always wanted the event to have a friendly, family atmosphere, where divers can bring partners, children and grandchildren and enjoy the day together. There’ s something for everyone this year and money raised on the day will go to the North West Air Ambulance. We look forward to welcoming BSAC clubs, members— and their families— to Dive Fest 2026!”
