C-monsta Wetsuit , Boot & Glove Hanger
C-monsta ’ s ‘ ultimate wetsuit hanger ’ may have been devised and produced for surfers but it ’ s every bit as relevant for divers . Scottish surfer Mark Yeadon ’ s lockdown brainwave resulted in his cleverly-designed , lightweight wetsuit hanger . Manufactured in the UK from recycled plastic , the robust c-monsta features shaped glove and boot holders , plus a slot to accommodate a wet – or dry – suit . The hanger is suspended via an anti-scratch hook and adjustable webbing strap from almost anywhere – I simply hung the c-monsta from the open rear hatch of my van . I slipped the gloves and boots over their relevant holders , fed my wetsuit half-folded through the slot and in the short time I spent sorting the remainder of my kit they were already well on their way to drip-drying .
Once back at home a little sunshine and fresh air soon finished the job off .
Designed for wetsuits lacking in appendages such as valves and glove rings , it did require a little more effort to feed my drysuit through the suit slot . An inch or so extra would make all the difference . Despite such minor criticisms , the hanger works equally - or perhaps even better - with a drysuit . My canvas rock boots and dry glover / liners slipped over their allotted holders to air , while my trilaminate dry suit drip-dried rapidly . Hooking the drysuit ’ s feet between the boot holders also allowed the suit to be hung full-length upside down . NH

Self-Adhesive Repair Patches
Northern Diver ’ s new Self Adhesive Repair Patches offer an inexpensive fix for inflatables of all types , from RIBs to life jackets , BCDs to SMBs and even leaky drysuits .
Each packet contains three 50mm and three 100mm circular patches with a 3M self-adhesive backing . Simply peel off the protective backing and apply , pressing for 30 seconds while burnishing to remove any air bubbles trapped between the two surfaces .
On a punctured single-bladder BCD , one of the smaller patches did a perfect and barelynoticeable permanent repair within seconds .
I also applied one of the 100mm repair patches to a leaking tube on my hypalon RIB .
This small abrasion would lead to a partially deflated tube over the course of a day , so once patched , I inflated the tube to its normal working pressure and took the boat for a good run . Three weeks later and the repair was still doing its job .
While I ’ d not advocate the patches as a permanent fix for the high pressures and tough loads exerted on RIB tubes , they will easily cope with minor punctures or tears that may otherwise curtail your dive , and then allow safe passage back to shore . NH
