Webinars for the win !

BSAC ’ S NEW SEASON OF INFORMATIVE webinars is now live , with over 30 online sessions to be hosted through to February 2022 .
Following on from the previous programme , which was launched in Spring 2020 , the latest batch of BSAC webinars will continue to cover a wide selection of diver and snorkeller related subjects . All the webinars have been designed to support members in their own training and development as well as cover some fascinating special interest topics .
Subjects to be covered in the first month of the new season include robotics and scuba , underwater filmmaking , location diving and understanding wrecks .
All the webinars are free for BSAC members and places can be booked online .

A swim for sharks

NINE INTREPID BSAC DIVERS TOOK PART IN THE FIRST UK SWIM FOR SHARKS event at Caversham Lake , raising funds for conservation charity , Shark Guardian .
Organised by BSAC club , BadSAC ( Berkshire Alumni Divers ), the swimmers covered a distance of 3.4km to raise over £ 1,150 for the charity . With Swim for Sharks events taking place worldwide since 2010 , event organisers now hope the UK first will become a regular annual event .
Event organiser David Ashmore , from BadSAC , said plans were already underway for a bigger and better Swim for Sharks event in 2022 .
“ We are all absolutely over the moon with how things went on the day and the money raised will help Shark Guardian to continue their amazing work around the world .”
