Changing times through the eyes of eight BSAC divers

To mark BSAC ’ s 70th Anniversary , SCUBA interviewed eight divers whose early development and training took place in each of the eight decades of the club ’ s existence . The divers were chosen partly at random , and partly in the knowledge that they all had good stories to tell . What we didn ’ t plan was that each of them has developed a strong association with training and instructor training . Perhaps this commonality was an inevitable consequence of interviewing any prolific BSAC diver , or perhaps it points to an inescapable fact that teaching people to dive safely lies at the heart of everything this club does .
