Topside attractions
Non-divers are amply catered for through a varied number of activities including cycling , mountain biking , hiking / walking , snorkelling , bird watching , photography , kayaking , windsurfing and kite surfing . We recommend taking a half day out to drive round the island and visit the national parks , where you should see lizards , birds , donkeys and flamingos , an ideal way to pass your final day on the island as you off-gas .
Flamingos can be seen at Gotomeer at the north end of the island , or at the Flamingo Sanctuary to the South .
Sorobon Beach and Lac Bay is a mecca for wind surfing with a shallow azure lagoon and good winds offering ideal conditions . Even as a non-surfer , it ’ s worth a visit to watch the top boarders in action .
