The discovery and filming of angel sharks in Welsh waters( in 2021) ignited a spark of hope in the world of marine conservation. The man behind the camera was BSAC diver Jake Davies, and the critically endangered species was again filmed on a baited rig placed in Cardigan Bay just last year. These notoriously cryptic sharks are not easy to find, but there is now undeniable evidence the species is present in our waters, even as they teeter on the brink of extinction.

Now, a film has been made about the discovery and ongoing study of the sharks, with Jake Davies at the heart of the narrative. Guardian Angel is directed
