Benefit of the Month
The BSAC Community
BSAC IS MORE THAN JUST DIVER OR snorkeller training – as a member, you are also part of a vibrant, supportive community that shares your love of the underwater world.
From planning dives or expeditions and supporting your training, to social get-togethers and overseas scuba / snorkel adventures, there’ s endless ways you can benefit from being part of the BSAC community.
Make lifelong friends
We all know scuba is sociable, and with clubs around the UK as well as worldwide, there’ s a large network for you to connect with. Bonding with your own club members as well as getting to know other BSAC clubs will not only widen your social circle but benefit your own scuba or snorkelling experience.
Pooling resources
There is a wealth of skills, experience and knowledge across the BSAC community and connecting with others can also mean you can tap into this invaluable resource. From clubs sharing instructors or organising joint training sessions to helping each other out when resources are short, to shared knowledge of favourite dive sites, there’ s always an opportunity to learn and grow.
Training support
As well as the exceptional training within your own club, as a BSAC member you can also take advantage of training opportunities within the wider BSAC community. From Skill Development Courses and Instructor Training to Regional Diver and Snorkeller Training Days, there’ s no shortage of support to keep you inspired.
Expand your diving horizons
As a BSAC member, you can also go diving with another BSAC club. Some clubs will make any spare spaces on their club trips available to other members, or you may be able to join them on day trips to a local dive centre. And, if you have a special underwater interest, you may be able to take part in and help organise a multi-club expedition, while meeting like-minded divers who want to share the adventure!
