T-Rex 3 Pro
COMPANY: AMAZFIT PRICE: £ 399.90 WEB: WWW. UK. AMAZFIT. COM

Hot on the heels of incorporating diving software into its Balance 2 smartwatch, Amazfit has incorporated the same feature into its flagship T-Rex 3 Pro model. In my review back in November 2025, I described the Balance 2’ s looks as‘ understated,’ However, as befits its name, the T-Rex in this 48mm incarnation is a more imposing proposition.

Despite being only a few millimetres all-round( 48x48x14mm) larger than the Balance, this is somehow a more substantial-looking beast. A tough, fibre-reinforced polymer case is finished with grade five Titanium bezel and buttons, plus scratch-resistant sapphire glass and a vibrant 1.5” AMOLED display.
There’ s no mistaking this as a real diving-style watch, with its angular, eight-sided bezel and a strong but flexible silicone strap. It weighs in at a very reasonable 52g, so it has little impact whatever activity you choose to pursue, from the 180-plus sports modes on offer.
The 700mAh battery typically offers up to 25 days of normal use, depending of course on what your‘ normal’ is. If you’ re a heavy user of the 6-satellite GPS system, utilising
the watch for voice calls or for multiple dives, that will obviously eat up battery power. The compact USB charger however, is fast and efficient. Using the excellent touch screen or four push-button system is highly intuitive, making initial setup and subsequent use a seamless experience. To access the dive mode, simply press the top right button, then scroll to and select Recreational Diving.
Here, the 100 metre-rated device can be programmed for water type, gas( air or Nitrox), auto start and finish, plus a choice of three conservatism settings, PO2 limit, depth and duration alerts and your chosen safety stop. GPS positioning is recorded for entry and exit spots, along with everything you’ d expect to find in a dive log. All these will subsequently appear in Amazfit’ s Zepp App.
