Lisa ’ s briefing diagam
That evening Andy challenged us to map out all our findings in a clear dive briefing style diagram which could if needed , allow other divers to re-find and check on any findings we made . So , while I was covering my anchor watch slot , I set mine up . Due to being anchored up overnight in between islands rather than in a harbour or marina , we needed to have a night watch to ensure we didn ’ t break free of the anchor , or any other issues arose . We broke the watch down in to three-hour slots , so during mine I got to work on my masterpiece !
DAY 3 . Also known as Seagrass Sunday , this was another day of excellent weather . We were working on seagrass bed surveys , using 50cm quadrats to scan and log the number of shoots we found in each area . Today I was working with both Andy and Ian , the viz wasn ’ t the best ( about a metre ), but we were doing some close-up work , so it didn ’ t matter . We quickly worked out an optimal method with Ian filming and lighting up the area , Andy doing the counts while I recorded them on my notebook .
All this was being completed in no more
