It was so refreshing seeing so many familiar faces return to dive with us in Sharm El Sheikh during October and November 2021 after the Red light was lifted on Egypt by the UK . It carried on over the Christmas period .
During this period , we also had some very new divers join us , It was great seeing the confidence that people were showing to travel again after so many restriction .
Now the testing procedure has been greatly reduced , we can see a big increase for bookings over the Spring and Summer .
It was particularly pleasing to see one of our newest divers complete her BSAC Ocean Diver certificate with us . Tinu is a member of two BSAC Branches in the South East area where she had almost completed her Ocean Diver . She had done much of her training in the UK and completed her theory and pool sessions with one branch and almost completed her Open Water dives with another branch , but winter got in the way so Tinu sought us out to help her complete her Qualification with us in the waters of the Red Sea .
Tinu found it a much more comfortable environment to complete her course in the warm clear waters with day long sunshine and blue sky .
Her basic skills and drills were performed to perfection . It was obviousthat she had excellent tuition and Instruction from her Instructors back in her Branches in The UK . The skill that she needed to work on was here buoyancy , which is very common in new divers . As Tinu had booked two training dives she needed to complete her qualification , and also a four day dive pack , to gain further experience , which in her own words " was so beneficial ", her competence came on leaps and bounds through the week , and with it her confidence improved and she started enjoying diving around the stunning reefs of Sharm El Sheikh taking in the amazing colours and marine life which is on show here .

During The Christmas period , we also had a young lady and her dad Dan , diving with us in Sharm . Tara was in the same position as Tinu , where she couldn ' t get her Ocean Diver completed in time back in the UK for her diving trip with her dad to Sharm over Christmas .
Tara and Dan are members of High Wycombe Branch , and like Tinu , Tara ' s skills were exemplary , and after her qualifying dives on her first day where she demonstrated her recently learned skills on the training dive sites , she was soon diving on the more pristine reefs around the coast of Sharm with her father , demonstrating her buoyancy control in the process .
It ' s so nice to see so many BSAC branches and individual BSAC divers booking to visit us in Sharm now the direct flights are coming regularly and there ' s no testing restrictions . We look forward to welcoming you all .
