Weather issues meant I didn ’ t get to sample the real draw of Kinlochbervie , but I feel this is such an important addition to the British diving scene I didn ’ t want to finish here . Fortunately , my friend Mae Dorricott caught more normal conditions about a month before my visit and has provided the scenic photos in this feature . I taught Mae photography when she was the Rolex European diving scholar , and she is now Bristol-based working in Natural History TV . “ Epic is the right word . It is really colourful , I couldn ’ t take my eyes off the walls , they are pumping with life ,” she enthuses . “ It felt so healthy and there are so many layers : the scenery is huge and gorgeous , but there was so much to see when you looked close .
