Making the most of the BSAC community

WHEN YOU JOIN BSAC , YOU JOIN AN amazing community that shares your love of scuba , snorkelling and the ocean . Not only does this community play a collective role in your training and development but also in your ongoing diving journey . From social evenings and day-to-day support , to training , mentoring and sharing adventures , our community spirit is something truly special .
And with BSAC ’ s mission to be the ‘ go to ’ for those who love the underwater world , here are just a few ways you can benefit from being part of the BSAC community :
Connect with others
We all know scuba is sociable , and with clubs around the UK as well as worldwide , there ’ s a large network for you to go diving and socialise with ! And making connections with other members and clubs will only enhance your BSAC experience . Connecting with other clubs can help you plan a dive trip , gain insider knowledge of their local sites , or provide the opportunity to share resources , for the benefit of all .
Collaboration
There is a wealth of skills , experience and knowledge in the BSAC community and collaboration with others can also mean you and your club can tap into this resource . From sharing instructors and organising joint training sessions to helping each other out when resources are short , collaboration is key to the BSAC community .
Widen your horizons
Did you know as a BSAC member , you can go diving with another BSAC club ? Some clubs will make any spare spaces on their club trips available to other members , or you may be able to join them on day trips to a local dive centre . And joint club trips are a great way to make new friends in the BSAC scuba community .
