BSAC Election 2025 – could you stand ?
THERE IS STILL TIME TO PUT YOUR name forward for BSAC Council and help shape the strategic growth and development of the club .
BSAC is accepting candidate nominations for the Council positions that are becoming available in June 2025 , with the closing date of 31 January 2025 for applications to be submitted .
The 2025 Election sees the key position of Chair as well as one ordinary Council member post . The successful candidates will take up their roles on BSAC Council at the 71st AGM which will be held online at 7pm on 25 June .
BSAC is particularly looking for volunteers with specific experience or expertise , including charity or National Governing Body ( NGB ) governance , brand development and marketing , PR , media and reputational management , funding sources , other diving training agencies , commercial / retail , international business development and equality , diversity and inclusion ( EDI ) strategies .
In addition to the role of ordinary Council member , there are additional skills and experience requirements for the post of Chair . This includes experience of boards and committees , strategic development , people management , company accounts and , ideally , corporate governance . BSAC Chair , Edward Haynes said it was an exciting time to join BSAC Council .

Special Resolutions
Any Special Resolutions / Motions to be raised at BSAC ’ s AGM 2025 must also be submitted by 11:59pm on 31 January 2025 .
Special Resolutions / Motions to be raised at the AGM submitted by a branch committee must be accompanied by the relevant extract from the minutes of the branch meeting . Special Resolutions / Motions submitted by a voting member must be seconded by at least four other voting members .

Go Diving speakers announced
THE GO DIVING SHOW WILL RETURN TO the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre ( NAEC ) this March , and BSAC will be there .
To be held on Saturday , 1st and Sunday , 2nd March at the NAEC in Kenilworth ’ s Stoneleigh Park , Go Diving is the UK ’ s only consumer diving show to be staged this year . And the weekend promises to be an interactive event for the whole family , showcasing the best of scuba diving and dive travel . All over 10,000 m2 of exhibition hall space .
