Tecline is a Polish manufacturer of diving equipment distributed in the United Kingdom by Aqua Active . The company ’ s comprehensive range includes wings , harnesses , backplates and regulators , all of which are designed to be fully modular , allowing divers to choose their own customised configuration . One of my favourite rigs for diving is twin sevens . A versatile and lightweight combination that I much prefer over the single cylinder / pony configuration . It offers similar redundancy but with superior comfort and balance both in and out of the water . Tecline ’ s Donut 17 Camo ( 17 litres capacity ) is a classic donut wing with a narrower profile at the top . The inner bladder , accessed via a plastic zipper , is manufactured from PU-420 . The eye-catching camouflage-style outer shell is made from a robust Cordura 1000D .
Wing and harness
Looking to make a perfect partnership for twin sevens , this wing ’ s buoyancy can also cope with a pair of tens . Anything above that and I really do have difficulty standing up . The K-style inflator and its corrugated hose are placed centrally , at the top of the wing . In practical use I found this to be much more accessible position than the normal recreational diver layout set off to the one side .
The Donut 17 is more minimalistic than many BCDs , which often feature multiple dump valves . Other than the inflate / deflate control there is a single pull dump , located on the front lower left side . I was happy to embrace this arrangement .
