Warm water in winter? Why, it would be rude not to. SCUBA Editor Simon Rogerson selects six different destinations
While I have nothing but respect for my friends who dive through the British winter, there is an alternative – and that’ s to go on holiday. So, in the first of two-parter on warm water holiday options for the November to April period, I offer my personal recommendations.
Some of these destinations are expensive, but none of them are in the astronomic category where you may be forking out £ 8,000 for a package. Yes, posh liveaboards in Raja Ampat, Galapagos and Komodo, I’ m talking about you. And don’ t think you’ re in the clear, Truk Lagoon, Polynesia or Fiji!
I have included one lower price option, but in general things have become more expensive, which means we have to make the right decision and choose a destination that works for us. I hope these little tasters will help inform your own planning.
