UKDIVING dramatically. Also, share your work with other underwater photographers who show you theirs. Be kind but honest with each other, It’ s a brilliant way to learn and stay inspired.
Who do you dive with? Tell us about your friends I’ ve been diving with the same great group of friends for years. Most are into photography and marine life. We often travel together and can usually fill a liveaboard. There’ s more grey hair now, and sadly, we’ ve lost five of our group over the years but that’ s taught me a big life lesson; if there’ s something you want to do, don’ t wait. Make a plan and go for it. Life gives no guarantees.
For readers new to diving in Ireland, where should they start? I live in Dublin so one of my favourite things to do with visiting divers is to swim with the seals in Dublin Bay— always a great introduction for visiting photographers. After that, I’ d take people west or north, where the water is clearer and reefs more colourful.
