Soft corals at HP Reef
The coral gardens of Maa Giri provided a marathon dive. We crossed sandy deserts to outlying reefs, passing tuna and eagle rays. Other divers spent quality time with a dolphin.
Kurumba is the most accessible of the islands I visited, with surfaced paths all around. While there are no specifically adapted rooms, temporary ramps can be arranged. For families, there is a kids’ club. The food was delicious, from individually cooked breakfasts to the signature evening dining on the beach. The views from the bar do, however, take in the high-rise skyline of Hulhulé island and the airport; and I wanted to travel further afield.
