Local flooding subsided just in time for the diving public to make their way unimpeded to the NAEC centre , Stoneleigh , now in its third year as host venue for Go Diving . With an additional hall , a varied array of speakers and an ever-growing complement of stands , the consensus was that this event marked a return to the scale of UK dive shows prior to the pandemic .

As always , BSAC had a high profile presence at the event , a squad of blue-clad volunteers and staff engaging with all visitors , answering questions and greetings friends old and new . The stand was bustling with activity on both days , in particular during the presentation of BSAC ’ s 2023 Awards ( see the report on the previous two pages ).
BSAC faces were notable among the many stands and speakers , with our own Andy Torbet leading the way as host on the main stage , which saw presentations by celebs Monty Halls and Miranda Kerestovnikoff , and technical titan Jarrod Jablonski .
BSAC was well represented on the UK diving stage , with standing room only for Kirsty Andrew ' s powerhouse presentation on Saturday . Sunday saw another persuasive love letter to British diving courtesy of Jane Morgan , while SCUBA editor Simon Rogerson and Welsh cameraman Jake Davies rounded off the afternoon sessions .
“ Overall , it was a hugely positive event that showcased the resilience and creativity of the British diving scene ,” said Mary Tetley , BSAC ’ s CEO . “ We were pleased to meet members and field enquiries , and it was good to see the diving market truly coming back to life . It was a busy , bigger show and there is a sense of renewed optimism in the industry .”
