Seasons of life is mentioned in the Bible as well as in secular writings.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says
, “There’s a season for everything
and a time for every matter under the heavens:
2 a time for giving birth and a time for dying,
a time for planting and a time for uprooting what was planted,
3 a time for killing and a time for healing,
a time for tearing down and a time for building up,
4 a time for crying and a time for laughing,
a time for mourning and a time for dancing,
5 a time for throwing stones and a time for gathering stones,
a time for embracing and a time for avoiding embraces,
6 a time for searching and a time for losing,
a time for keeping and a time for throwing away,
7 a time for tearing and a time for repairing,
a time for keeping silent and a time for speaking,
8 a time for loving and a time for hating,
a time for war and a time for peace. (CEB)
I’m of an age, chronologically, that I’ve lived through many, many seasons. I describe those seasons as the twists and turns on my journey of life.
There were times I was sure I was walking along that road alone. That even my Creator had left me to suffer, struggle and figure things out. Those were the toughest times. Those were the seasons of my life when I couldn’t even see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel.
But I did live through those seasons. And I emerged victorious. I emerged from the dark tunnel a conqueror. I emerged with an increase in wisdom and knowledge.
Not because of me. But because I finally gave it ALL to Jesus so He could take care of the troubles. And believe me; some of those troubles were very, very scary.
I’m sure every one of you has also been through some very difficult seasons. Life can be a stormy winter every day. Give it to Him. I mean TOTALLY give it to Him.
He created you and He knows what you are going through. There is nothing He isn’t already aware of concerning our lives. He also knows how to make things right, if we will step aside and let Him.
Why do you think He went through all the suffering on the Cross? He did it for YOU! He loves you that much! And He took all our sufferings, struggles, and worries with Him to the Cross. They have already been taken care of!
