influence on me. u SB Do you keep a scrapbook? Liz: Not as such
but I have a box in the studio containing hundreds of images I’ve
taken out of magazines over the years which I often leaf through
for ideas. u SB What are your interests outside of illustration? Liz:
Reading, cycling, playing my guitar, going to gigs and adding to
my tattoo collection. u SB Tell us about a favourite project you’ve
recently completed. Liz: I was recently commissioned to do an
illustration for the 2013 Kerrang! tour poster. It was a really fun
project and they were really great to work with. I was a big fan of
the magazine when I was a teenager so I was really chuffed when
they approached me. u SB Who are your illustration heroes? Liz:
Tanja Szekessy, Marguerite Sauvage, David Choe, David Downton,
Miss Led. u SB If you were not an illustrator, what would you be?
Liz: I used to be a body piercer in a tattoo parlour for a few years
after I graduated so I probably would have gotten into tattooing. u
SB Do you have a method for dealing with the feeling of having no
ideas? Liz: Go on a bike ride. u SB Who would you like to have as
your muse if your were painting their portrait? Liz: Dita Von Teese.
She is magical.
