u SB What drew you to illustration? Liz: Drawing is the only thing
I was ever good at for as far back as I can remember so it seemed
like an obvious choice! u SB Do you have any formal design
training? Liz: I studied illustration at Falmouth College of Arts in
Cornwall. There have been some fantastic artists and designers
to come out of FCA, so it was a really great place to study. u
SB Where are you originally from? Liz: Coventry. Not the most
exciting city but it has a special place in my heart. u SB Where do
you live now and why? Liz: I have lived in East London for about
5 years now. It is such a creative and versatile place. I couldn’t
see myself living anywhere else. u SB Describe your studio for
us Liz: I work from a studio space in my flat in Dalston. It’s a nice
light space but it’s slowly starting to look like a thrift shop - I have
some unusual trinkets and far too many books. u SB Who is your
biggest inspiration? Liz: My parents always had Pre-Raphaelite
paintings on the walls when I was growing up. It’s only really in
the last few years that I’ve realised that these images had had an
