Miminne: Illustration at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, the University of the Arts London. u SB Where do you live now and what drew you there? Miminne: I live in London, but I am moving out of the city, soon. u SB Who or What is your biggest inspiration? Miminne: Andy Warhol. u SB How do you get your ideas? Miminne: From films, music videos. Moving image is always at the base of my inspiration. If someone wants me to draw a fashionable figure in Paris, then I would watch Funny Face, Pret-a-porter, Jean-Paul Goude’s commercial films, Karl Lagerfeld’s film, etc. There are so many narrative elements in films. u SB Do you collect anything? Miminne: I collect anything that inspires me from old piece of lace to sweet wrapper. I do not have a huge collection, but I like classic style shoes, too. u SB Do you keep a scrapbook? Miminne: Yes, I do. I have so many files and shoe boxes filled with old bits of fabrics, newspaper articles, flyers etc. I cannot live without them, 150
