u SB What drew you to illustration? Hannah: It’s natural. I’ve
always loved drawing since I was a little girl. u SB Do you have
any formal design training? Hannah: A degree in surface pattern
design from Swansea Metropolitan University. u SB Where are
you from originally? Hannah: Swansea in Wales. u SB Where do
you live now and what drew you there? Hannah: Swansea. It’s by
the Gower peninsular, a beautiful stretch of coastline. My love
for nature and the sea has always attracted me to the area. u SB
Where is your studio and can you describe it for me? Hannah:
My studio is in my house and it opens up on to the wonderful
garden which floods with light and home grown plants and veg.
My studio’s full of photos, which I use for inspiration. I have
many photos of plants and flowers gathered from the botanical
gardens. I love capturing the minute details of landscapes and the
bold colours, my space is full of inspirational photography. u SB
Who or what is your biggest inspiration? Hannah: Nature, ocean
and fine detail is my main inspiration source. u SB How do you
get your ideas? Hannah: Pictures, visiting galleries, exhibitions,
